Based in Cincinnati, OH, Ariana Hodes and Cassandra Bailey-Langjahr (aka The Longest Year) originally met bartending in Nashville in 2017. After writing an amazing song together on their very first co-write, they realized they had something special.
Everywhere they go audiences are floored by their intricate harmonies and thoughtful lyrics that put their feisty wit on display. Their first tour was a lesson in how their two instruments and voices complimented each other, learning what inspired them--social justice and spirituality just a few of the light topics they often discussed--their different musical influences and what they each brought to the table laid the basis for what has become a long-term, sometimes long-distance collaboration.
While on tour in 2019 they stopped at a farmhouse in Iowa to write four more songs in four days. Those became the Living Room Tapes they released as a series of singles in '25 and '26. Worked on bit by bit as Covid and lockdowns hit, Masters degrees were pursued in different countries, and many a state-line move occurred.
Now in the same city once more, they've been able to continue writing and performing. Their first studio recorded EP, Multiple Exposures, is set to be released Nov 20th 2026, and the pair couldn't be more excited to share these songs with the world.
